How Do Cross-Border E-Commerce Companies Confirm If The French Tax Representatives Have Paid VAT On Their Behalf?

Many cross-border sellers have this kind of question, how can I be sure that my tax has been paid in full and on time to the tax authorities on my behalf through a dedicated French VAT? It’s also true that there are some cross-border sellers whose tax dollars used to get screwed.

It is not hard to confirm this key question. At the end of each monthly VAT declaration, your French tax representative will obtain two official documents from French tax declaration website: one is the ACCUSE DE RECEPTION SIGNE which means that the tax authorities have confirmed received the data submitted by the tax representatives for the month, and the other is Certificat de prise en compte de l’ordre de paiement, or proof of receipt of payment, which serves as your proof that your VAT have been paid will include some of important information (as shown in the picture):

    1. Month of the VAT declaration for payment – declaring period
    2. Payment matters
    3. Amount of payment
    4. Date and time of payment
